The Government Officials (TGO) was a Swedish punk rock band active between 2014 and 2024. Their music drew heavy inspiration from British punk, and the band name was taken from a lyric in the song Organised Crime by UK Subs.

TGO gained recognition through energetic live performances, primarily in Dalarna but also on stages around Sweden. Their sound was characterized by raw intensity and politically charged lyrics. During their active years, the band released two records: the full-length album 1980 and Get Out of Our Way, the latter also released on CD through DalaDestroiRecords.

Although the band has officially disbanded, rumors suggest that new songs may be on the way – only time will tell what the future holds.
